This groundbreaking attraction has truly redefined immersive experiences in the entertainment industry. As the Senior Production Designer, I played a key role in bringing this visionary project to life.
In addition to my role as Senior Production Designer, I served as the Creative Director for the castle, the castle interior queue, the load station, the ride vehicle design, and the patented Animated Portraits. I also provided on-site art direction throughout the ride’s opening. My contributions included developing original concepts that inspired the overall aesthetic, creating detailed technical drawings, and designing intricate 3D models.
I utilized SketchUp to produce several hundred 3D models, while LightWave 3D was my go-to software for creating captivating 3D flythroughs that showcased the attraction’s innovative design and queue interior, which was shared with the author of the books, J.K. Rowling.
With numerous pencil drawings, creative notes, and various other design materials necessary to realize such an ambitious project, these images represent just a small fraction of the work involved in this spectacular ride.
